I believe change begins with understanding, and understanding comes only when we step inside someone else’s world.
I am a Singapore-born Australian humanitarian photojournalist and writer. My work is not about observing from the sidelines. It is about immersing myself in the thick of conflict, displacement, and survival. To live alongside those impacted. To listen, to witness, and to carry their stories with truth and dignity.
Immersive Journalism
I practice what I call immersive journalism - a commitment to being present in the most volatile regions, experiencing life as it unfolds for those trapped in war, displacement, or crisis. This way of working goes beyond investigation; it is about living the story in order to tell it with honesty, empathy, and weight.
War & Humanity
My lens is not fixed only on devastation, but also on resilience. I document the endurance of women raising children in bomb shelters, fishermen braving militarised waters, families surviving refugee camps, and communities holding onto hope despite everything.
Storytelling Across Mediums
Through photography, I capture the rawness of endurance, the silence of loss, and the sparks of defiance. Through writing, I weave facts with lived experience, balancing journalistic precision with human depth. Both mediums serve one purpose: to amplify voices too often silenced.
Truth Against Censorship
In an era of media censorship and disinformation, my work is an act of defiance. I aim to cut through propaganda, expose systemic injustice, and give a platform to those whose suffering is otherwise erased or politicised.
I do not chase accolades. What matters is that my work informs, unsettles, and shifts perspectives. It is both documentation and education, connecting past with present to show how colonial legacies and political decisions shape today’s conflicts.
