The drought has severely impacted their livelihood and survival.

Before the drought, the community would used to consume the products from their livestock, ie shoats milk, meat, etc. They now have to travel to Afdera or Logia once or twice a month to access food. We are talking distances of over 100km one way! Food aid does not reach this part of Afar, the last of which was about 7 months ago.
