On a positive note, while in Abala, we witnessed the discussion between clan leaders, facilitating the return of the 8000 Tigrayan IDPs from Semera. At this point in time, returnees are expected to begin their journey home around 20th July 2022. Even though most of their homes have been destroyed during the thick of the conflict which lasted over 4 months in this region, I can imagine it would be much welcomed compared to the overcrowded IDP facility in Semera.
