Local fisherman returns from morning catch. When the water levels were much higher, fish used to come in with the river currents. Now that the water is startign to subside, fishermen have to go further out to the river to fish. The likes of nile perch, salmon, tilapia etc can be found. That said as we speak, Uganda is preparing to release 2400m3 of water, which will flood through this area in about 4 months' time. This is a one in 60 year event that occurred when it happened in 2021. 3 years down the track, as all are hopeful that the water levels with subside completely, where they could look to return to their places of origin, they are now going to be hit with another wave of flooding.
