Achantan calls her Mummy. Mummy ran from the village to come to Tiko when armed groups came. The armed groups chased them out of the village back in about 2020. Her son, who had 3 children, was shot and killed by a gunman during the conflict. She was in the kitchen. Her son was seated on the veranda, as she was in this image, waiting for her to make lunch. A car drove by, spraying bullets into homes. A stray hit him as Julaina watched her son die in front of her very eyes.

Mummy went back at one stage as the weather in Tiko doesn't suit her. However she came back again not long after as the conflict was still unpredictable.

She spoke with such resilience and was resolute. However I cannot imagine how she would feel on the inside. I cannot imagine how everyone impacted by the crisis must feel as they navigate through life not knowing what will come next.
