They arrived at this site 4 months ago from Hile-Alifa. An entire village resides in this IDP site due to attacks by Boko Haram, who killed one person in the village and kidnapped eight young girls. For those reasons they decided to leave and come to Makary.

The challenges they are facing are insufficient food, clean drinking water and ineffective shelter. What they have at present is not sheltering them from the cold or wet weather. There also isn't healthcare on site or nearby. All that said, her village is thankful that they can sleep in peace without fear of being attacked unexpectedly. This peace is more important than any of the challenges they currently face.
