An entire village resides in this IDP site due to attacks by Boko Haram, who killed one person in the village and kidnapped eight young girls. For those reasons they decided to leave and come to Makary.

When armed groups attacked, they killed one person in their village. Armed group also sent a message to the village that they will return. On that, the entire village left, fearful of the violence that would follow.

The challenges they face are shortage of food, clean drinking water and ineffective shelter that isn't protecting them from the cold.
