"Water broke our houses. All our houses were broken"
In 2020 we experienced floods but it wasn't as bad as this one. It didn't break our houses back in 2020. The floods came all at once one night and broke all the houses at the same time. The water has come from Logone et Chari due to heavy rainfall. The last time we experienced rain that heavy that it flooded the river was 60 years ago. The chief was saying that since he was born he has never witnessed such bad flooding.

They are all now looking for forms of income to help with rebuild. They used to have livestock but that has been washed away. Now they are carrying out small income generators to help bring in some money. Some are able to continue doing what they used to do.
