This entire village who now resides in this particular IDP site has experienced a flood back in 2020. However that did not break their houses back then. They haven't ever experienced a flood as big as the one back in October 2022. In fact the elders are saying that in 60 years of their lives, they haven't witnessed anything like that. Most houses were damaged in this most recent flood. People are making do with small income generating projects but it isn't providing enough income to assist with the rebuilding of their homes.
