Capturing spasmodic arrivals into Joda from Sudan. We were at the border between Sudan and South Sudan where refugees typically arrive on trucks or other modes of transport and then walk the rest of the way into South Sudan. By this stage, most would have gone through a road journey of around 3-5 days, with little water or food, money usually extorted by armed groups and/or harrassed and assaulted. On arrival into Joda, they are health screened by WHO and then processed by either IOM for returnees or UNHCR for refugees.
