The ideal weight for a 2yo is typically about 11kg. 4kg is the weight of some babies at birth! Nyachara is HIV positive, having contracted retrovirus from her mother at birth. Has been brought into the hospital by her half sister, Nyangena who is 14yo has been left with the task of looking after her little half sister as her mother has abandoned her. Nyangena no longer goes to school or plays with the other children. Her own mother is blind and their father is in another town, Manga, for work as a fisherman.
