UNOCHA-FAO: Gula Ram
Climbing the mountain with the elders of Gula Ram to ascertain the impact that climate change has had on the community. They pointed to the pipes that were built to transport water from the mountains to the villages, that are now barely trickling through. They also point to where water would used to run through and the vegetations that were once available in abundance on the mountain that are no longer there. This is a traditional plant used for stomach ailments that is now endangered due to a complete lack of snowfall and water.
