We met with a community who is experiencing impacts of climate change as well as a change in regime. They used to farm poppy during the days of the republic government. However that is no longer viable under the de facto government. There has been substantial reduction in the income to this community, who are now seeking assistance with income generating projects for the women of the villages and also agricultural setups to supplement food supplies. This community is also qutie remote in that there aren't any main roads leading to the major towns, which poses as a significant issue to healthcare acccessibility and ability to find work in major towns.
