Here in Gula Ram, we had a meeting with the elders of the community. Signs of climate change was witnessed arond 30+ years ago where the area has gradually become warmer. Where they would use to expect a decent amount of snowfall on the mountains during winter months that would precipitate into streams of water sources for vegetation, livestock and people is no longer the case. The area used to be green. Native trees and medicinal plants used to grow atop and along these mountains. However most of these plants have since become endangered.
