13yo Rokaya trapped under the rubble and thought she was going t

Rokaya relived her nightmare as she shared her story with us.

"They didn't alert us. We were standing and suddenly an explosion happened. I couldnt see anything. Rocks were falling on me like rain. I could hear my Mum calling me. She thought I was martyred but I couldnt answer her. I was screaming. There was a lot of smoke. We couldn't talk. I thought I was going to die when suddenly my brother pulled me out of the rubble. One of my relatives was martyred. Many of us were injured. They took me to the hospital where I've received multiple surgeries", Rokaya recalled.

Rokaya's Father described the situation, "the first thing we saw was fire, then everything was black we couldnt see anything. Dust fills the air and it was at least 5 minutes before we could actually see around us.

Rokaya's Mother thought she was a second away from death and she was reciting the shahada cause she thought she was going to die. She also explained that half of Rokaya's face was surgically reconstructed with "plastic bones". She will have surgery for her eyes soon as the nerves in her left eye were damaged.

"Israel has not issued evacuation orders before bombing! So many children have to live without parents which is extremely sad", Rokaya said.

"God bless the resistance and may they be victourious! Let them [Israel] destroy houses as much as they want as long as we are healthy everything can be rebuilt, no problem", Rokaya's mum affirmed. "I cried thinking my daughter and my husband had died. While I recall the incident, I feel goosebumps. I'm frightened to even return to the house now."

Rokaya said at the end, "I felt like my face was gone , and I was telling my mom that my face is malformed."
