Israeli army claims to be striking Hezbollah's stronghold in Tyre. However Tyre is a city of beach resorts and civilian homes.

On this particular day, the Israeli army issued evavuation warnings with maps and locations they were planning to strike. I watched as birds took flight when clapping-like alarms went off in the town of Tyre. Those who have been through a war with Israel knows they cannot be trusted. The airstrikes may come within seconds of the evacuation warning or they may strike a completely different location to that on the warning.

Between the South of Lebanon which is in plain sight from Tyre, and the heart of Tyre itself, Israel issued warnings for 15 bombings. A few (I lost count) airstrikes hit the middle of town in the thick of civilian infrastructures. A couple of airstrikes landed right near the Palazzo Hotel. Tyre may look empty but there are families still living here. Those who are still living here have no means to leave. Walking around the city, I have come across the elderlies and young families (see interviews from earlier in the week).

The children and their families who were displaced from the south hid in their rooms at the Rest House beach resort. Meanwhile the older children would text me asking if the "booms" were finished, a question I could never answer as we never know where the Israeli army is concerned.

When the 15th airstrike was carried out, we waited a while before breathing a sigh of relief. The children came out looking for me thinking the same. A 16th airstrike hit right near the Rest House beach resort. The children who had just came out to greet me screamed and ran in all directions. It's really difficult to work out where exactly these missiles would strike. Halfway down the footpath in one of the images was literally where my room was situated.
