Malaria is rampant throughout the IDP site. On top of this, minimal hygiene and complete lack of sanitation have resulted in residents suffering and dying of ailments such as dysentry, typhoid, diarrhoea, and the like. However most ailments remain undiagnosed or are treated broadly. There is insufficient medication around to assist with anything more specific.
