At present, representatives from the IDP site have resorted to negotiating with the Gumuz armed groups themselves, to come to an agreement to stop these killings. They are also in negotiation with the armed groups to enable them to return to their villages of origins, however the added elements of existing structures being damaged during the conflict and not having received aid from the government to assist with recovery and reconstruction, the people here are looking at around November/December 2022 before they could move back home, if they are indeed that fortunate. It appears the Gumuz people are first to be able to return to their villages of origin.
