Kalahari hunters

Kalahari hunters

The hunters took their time preparing the arrows, inspecting each of them and dipping them in poison. When they were ready, we began our long journey through the harsh surrounding terrains. The sun was already unforgiving at 7 in the morning. The traditional bushmen was often out for days at a time. With the expansion of commercial farming lands, the Bushmen are forced to culturally assimilate in many ways. Their access to hunting and wild food are both restricted. Some Bushmen have even abandoned their nomadic lifestyle to raise cattle in permanent villages.
